Girl Trek Tuscaloosa 830107
 

Girl Trek Tuscaloosa is a walking workout for girls who are at risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and for those who are at risk of becoming moderately and severely obese. The program can be as confidential as you want it to be. Our goal is to walk 100 miles in three months and lose a great deal of weight in the process. We want to boost their confidence, self esteem, and promote self efficacy. We will walk 3-5 miles.

 
Pilates & Total Body Conditioning 402119
 

This class will offer traditional Pilates exercises to strengthen your core and more challenging muscle endurance exercises for your entire body.  All ages and levels of fitness are welcome.

Pilates is an exercise that strengthens muscles that support the spine, brings balance into the body, realigns the spine, decreases tension and increases flexibility. Individual classes are $7 each.

Start your day refreshed and energized! This Pilates mat class utilizes a series of fluid exercise and breathing techniques designed to strengthen and tone the core muscles, lengthen and align the spine, bring balance, and focus to your mind and body.

Zumba Gold 402109
 

Zumba Gold is a great class for beginner exercisers, seniors, or anyone who wants a more moderate intensity Zumba Fitness dance class. Get healthy with us! Please pre-register--- we need at least six people to register for the class each month.

Zumba Gold at the Hughes Center-- Zesty Latin music, exhilarating easy to follow moves, and the invigorating party-like atmosphere of Zumba modified to suit the needs of active older participants, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle.

Yoga Therapy 402110
 

An adaptive Yoga class geared toward the person with Multiple Sclerosis or other similar challenges. The class, which occasionally utilizes a chair, involves pranayama, meditation, and adapted asana. The class would also be good for seniors or beginner Yoga students of any age.

Learn relaxation techniques while you increase your strength and flexibility. New classes begin monthly. Bring your Yoga mat and join us any time!

Tribal Fusion Bellydance Workshop 402105
 

Join professional bellydancer, Seraphina, for a special workshop. Bellydance is great for relieving streess, increasing stamina, building confidence and staying fit. This class focuses on correct posture and the quintessential moves of bellydance.

Step & Sculpt Aerobics 402104
 

Intervals of STEP Aerobics and muscle conditioning using dumbells, tubing, and bars. Modifications made for beginners. There are 8 weeks in the session and the class will continue if there is enough interest. Please pre-register.



 
Zumba Basic Fitness 402109
 

Come join us for our latin-inspired, easy-to-follow, effective, calorie burning fitness dance party. Participants of all ages and fitness levels will enjoy this fun-filled dance craze.
