Competitive Soccer

Tuscaloosa United Soccer Club’s Competitive Program is for players U12-U19 or 11-18 years old.  Competitive teams play within the Alabama Soccer Association State League and compete for Alabama State Championships and the opportunity to attend USYS Regional Championships each summer.

Coached by our highly qualified, paid coaching staff, competitive teams practice twice a week, compete in league games, and have the opportunity to attend tournaments each season.

Tryouts are held each May for players who would like to be considered for a competitive team.  This is a great opportunity for your child to compete with players of similar ability and commitment level and enjoy an excellent experience with youth soccer.

Annual Club Tryouts

All players interested in participating in competitive soccer at TUSC must attend our annual tryouts in May.  Players unable to participate in May tryouts due to relocation to Tuscaloosa, injury etc, may request a supplemental tryout* by contacting the Executive Director.  We strongly encourage all players to attend our annual tryouts in May, as that will give players the best opportunity to be seen and evaluated by our coaches.

*Supplemental Tryouts, Winter Supplemental Tryouts, and Individual Assessments are used exclusively to add to existing competitive team rosters, provided space is available.  All team formation occurs at the Annual Club Tryouts and there is no guarantee of space being available in an age group after the initial tryout process is completed.

Club Registration and Fees

Registration is available online or in person at any Tuscaloosa County PARA Office during office hours (8a-5p, M-F).  All players must present a signed letter of commitment each season to PARA acknowledging their commitment to cover all fees associated with this program.

There are three fees for competitive soccer at Tuscaloosa United Soccer Club.
1) Club Registration Fee
