Hands On Tuscaloosa | Arts & Culture Camp - July 27-31

What is Arts & Culture Camp?

  • Hands on Tuscaloosa is a youth summer camp focusing on the Arts and
    Culture characterized by the city and its local attributes.

  • Youth participants will experience cultural connectivity on urban hikes
    throughout downtown Tuscaloosa and Riverwalk Park.

    • Civil Rights Trail

    • Monster Art Scavenger Hunt

    • tour of the BAMA Theatre

  • hands-on exposure to the arts
    • a media arts and graphic design experience with DreDay of 105.1 The Block
    • a taste of culinary and agricultural art from local entrepreneurs
  • Camp runs from 7:30am-5:30pm

  • Each week we will have themed educational and recreational opportunities.

  • Camp will be offered for Grades K-8, and there is a minimum of 8 participants each week for camp to take place.  We will accept a maximum of 15 kids each week.

  • Camp pricing (We have combined age groups for this camp due to lower participation.)

    • $100 for K-3rd Grade (Monday-Wednesday)

    • $150 for 4th-8th Grade (Monday-Wednesday)

  • Drop-off and pickup at Cypress Shelter in River Road Park
  • Campers will bring their own lunch (or may have the opportunity for local food on a designated day), two healthy snacks and a refillable water bottle.
