Druid City Baseball League


Thank you to everyone who made the league’s second season (spring 2022) a huge success, from our partnership with the Benjamin Barnes Branch of the YMCA and the Atlanta Braves RBI Program, to volunteer coaches, parents, participants, the Tuscaloosa County Commission, and our loyal sponsor Alabama ONE Credit Union.   The age cutoff for all  programs is May 1, 2022.

  • Ask yourself, "What age was my child on May 1, 2022?"  For example: If the answer is 6, then your child is eligible as a 6 year old for the entire season.
  • Age Calculator: Input "5/1/2022" in the "Age at this Date" blank.  Input the player's date of birth into the "Date of Birth" blank.  Click "Calculate."

Registration is available online, at the Hughes Center, and at the Benjamin Barnes YMCA.

Coaching Information:

Volunteer coaches are needed for this program!  If you are interested in coaching, please email LaKeda Smith and Brandon McAway  or call the Benjamin Barnes YMCA at (205) 759-4284.  All coaches are subject to background checks and must complete the Coach Safely Training Program.


There will be a mandatory coaches meeting scheduled prior to the beginning of the season.

Bat Rules

Any metal bat is allowed in PARA baseball leagues and tournament play as long as it does not have T-ball markings, is shorter than 26" or longer than 34" in length.

All Non-Wood bats and Multi Piece Wood bats must be stamped with the USA Baseball mark signifying that the bat meets the bat performance standards established by USA Baseball. (USA Baseball is the governing body of amateur baseball in the United States.)

Solid Wood Bats made from a single piece of wood, do not require the USA Baseball mark, but must meet all other bat requirements in size and length, as listed above.
