REC SOCCER | AGES 8-11

Tuscaloosa United Soccer Club’s Under 9 through Under 12 Rec Soccer Program provides young and new players ages 8-11 an opportunity to learn soccer skills and team play. Practicing twice a week, players will learn soccer fundamentals in a fun and safe environment. Practices will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Most games will be played on Saturday mornings or Thursday evenings. Game are intramural and will be played within the Tuscaloosa United Soccer Club League at Sokol North Complex. The U9-U10 age group plays 7v7 and the U11-U12 age group plays 9v9.

This program is coed and led by volunteer coaches. The number of players registered, their ages and gender will determine the teams and brackets. We make every effort to ensure all teams are equal in number of players, ages and gender. Our objective is to have a minimum of 6 teams in any bracket. We reserve the right to change the format due to numbers, age, or gender.  All practice times and game times are the same for every team in an age group, with few exceptions. We are not able to honor special requests.

Key Dates/Times for the Spring 2024 Season:

• "Early Bird" registration ($10 off): December 7 through December 21
• Regular registration: December 7 through January 25
  • Late registration ($25 late fee applies): January 26 through February 1

Registration fee is per player per season. Fee includes practices, games, 2 soccer jerseys, and an award.

• Historically U9 + U10 practice at 5:45pm-6:45pm & U11 + U12 practice 7:00pm-8:00pm

• Saturday morning games will be played at 8am, 9am, or 10am. Please note that these times are dependent on registration, number of teams and subject to adjustments.
