📢 Sideline Behavior Policy (Parents & Spectators)

At Tuscaloosa United Soccer Club, we are committed to creating a positive, respectful, and development-focused environment for all players.

This policy applies to all TUSC programs: Recreational, Academy, and Competitive.

Sideline Expectations

Encourage, Don’t Coach
  • ● Cheer and support all players
  • ● Do not coach from the sideline
  • ● Allow players to make their own decisions

Respect the Game
  • ● Respect referees at all times
  • ● Do not question or criticize referees
  • ● Understand that mistakes are part of the game

Respect Coaches & Players
  • ● Do not confront coaches, players, or opposing spectators
  • ● Address concerns privately and away from the field
  • ● Wait 24 hours before discussing game-related concerns

Create a Positive Environment
  • ● No negative comments toward players, coaches, or officials
  • ● Support effort, not just results
  • ● Help make the game enjoyable for all players

Spectator Responsibility

Parents/guardians are responsible for the behavior of:

  • ● Family members
  • ● Guests

If Expectations Are Not Met

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in:

  • ● Verbal warning
  • ● Removal from the field area
  • ● Further action as determined by the club

Our Goal

We want every player to:

  • ● Enjoy the game
  • ● Learn through experience
  • ● Grow in confidence and decision-making
  •

👉 Your behavior on the sideline plays a major role in that experience.

Thank you for helping us create a positive environment that reflects the values of TUSC.
