Rec Challenge League (RCL)
Ages 6-7
Tuscaloosa United Soccer Club’s U7-U8 Rec Challenge League (RCL) provides for players who have shown a high interest in the game and are not challenged by the average rec soccer game. Players who register for this program should have played in a rec soccer environment for a minimum of 1 season.
Typical Player Profile:
- Played in a rec soccer environment for a minimum of 1 season
- High interest in the game
- Not challenged by the average rec soccer game
- Recommendation by Parent, Rec or TUSC coaching staff
Meeting twice a week for training, players will learn soccer fundamentals and team play in a fun and safe environment. Games are on Saturday mornings and will be played within the Tuscaloosa United Soccer Club Rec Challenge League at Sokol North.
This program format is 4v4, coed, and led by volunteer coaches who have shown competence and interest in learning more about coaching soccer.
The number of children registered in this program is limited to 48. Players will train in pool training and be evaluated during the first two weeks. Through the evaluation process, players will be assigned teams. We make every effort to ensure all teams are equal in number of players, ages, and gender. Our goal is to create teams that are as equal as possible. Game scores should be 9-8, 5-5, 2-1 etc. For this reason, there are NO SPECIAL REQUESTS! The exceptions include having a coach's child or assistant coach's child on his or her team.
We reserve the right to change the format due to numbers, age, or gender.
