Juniors Soccer U4
Introductory program for young players and their parents
- ● Meets once per week at Sokol North (Mondays) or Bobby Miller Center (Tuesdays)
- ● 45-minute sessions designed for young players
- ● Parent/guardian participation is required during each session
- ● Focus on fun, comfort, and early development
Program Details
- ● Coed program led by volunteer coaches
- ● Groups are balanced by number, age, and gender
- ● Session times are consistent for each group

U5, U6, U7, U8
Ages 4-7
- ● Introduces players to the game through fun, game-based activities
- ● Focus on fundamental skills and teamwork
- ● Practices and games are scheduled twice per week
- ● Games are played in an intramural format at Sokol North and Bobby Miller Center

- ● Coed teams led by volunteer coaches
- ● Teams and brackets are formed based on registration numbers, age, and gender distribution
- ● All teams follow a consistent schedule within each age group
- ● Game formats and field sizes are age-appropriate and may vary by location

U9, U10, U11, U12
Ages 8-11
● Focus on developing soccer skills, game understanding, and teamwork
● Increased focus on game play and decision-making
● Practices are scheduled twice per week at consistent days and times for each team
● Games are played in an intramural league at Sokol North Complex
● Games are primarily scheduled on Saturdays, with occasional weekday games

- ● All teams follow a consistent schedule within each age group
- ● Game formats and field sizes are age-appropriate (7v7 and 9v9) and may vary

U13+ Recreational Soccer (U13–U19)
Ages 12-18
The U13+ Recreational Soccer program provides players ages 12–18 an opportunity to continue playing soccer in a fun, flexible environment without the commitment of competitive soccer.
- ● Open to all levels — from beginners to experienced players.
- ● A great option for players new to the game, returning after time away, or who choose not to play competitive soccer
- ● Focuses on enjoying the game, playing with friends, and staying active
This program is ideal for players who want to continue playing in a less demanding, more flexible environment.
Teams and age groupings are based on registration numbers and may vary each season. When possible, players are grouped by age (e.g., U13–U15 and U16–U18), but groups may be combined if needed.
Game formats may vary depending on numbers and field space:
- ● 9v9 when numbers and field space allow
- ● 7v7 when numbers are smaller
All games are intramural and played within the Tuscaloosa United Soccer Club.
