paraKids Extended Day Program | PreK-5th Grade
The Extended Day After School Program at the Phelps Activity Center is designed for students at Rock Quarry Elementary School (RQE). The program is open to all students, but parents are responsible for providing transportation to the Phelps Center for their child if the child does not attend RQE.
Students will be given time to complete homework assignments, outdoor/playground time, enrichment activities, STEM projects, optional field trips, and much more!
PARA will provide an after-school snack daily. If your child has allergies, please feel free to send a snack for your child each day.
Monday-Friday: after-school until 6:00 pm
Pre-Enrollment (Weekly Billing Available):
- $12/day Members (PARA All-Inclusive Members)
- $14/day Non-Members
Daily Fee without pre-enrollment:
$17/day
Weekly billing is available-- enrollment will be billed weekly on Saturday, before the start of the week.
To register your child for the Rock Quarry After-School Program for the school year:
- Complete the Child Information Sheet.
- Pay the required registration fee.
Both steps must be completed for your child’s registration to be considered complete.
After school, enrolled children will be picked up at Rock Quarry Elementary School and transported to the Phelps Activity Center.
Parents or authorized adults must pick up children from the Phelps Activity Center no later than 6:00 p.m. each day.
Weekly billing is available with pre-enrollment. We bill weekly on Saturday, before the start of the upcoming week.
You must complete pre-enrollment to be eligible for billing.
Parents must enroll their child in advance for each specific day the child will attend the after-school program.
When enrollment is completed in advance, the daily fee is:
$12 per day for PARA members
$14 per day for non-members
If a child attends the program without being enrolled in advance, the fee is $17 per day, regardless of membership status.
Enrollment may be canceled before the program begins, and a credit will be issued to the parent’s account.
When a child will be absent because of illness, the parent must submit the Absence Notification Form through the PARA website or PARA App before the program begins on the day of the absence. Once the form is received, a credit will be issued.
Credits or refunds will not be provided for absences that are not reported before the program begins.
Parakids will be offering a variety of Day Camps throughout the 2026-2027 school year. These camps are designed to provide children with fun, engaging, and enriching activities during scheduled school breaks. A minimum of 30 campers must be registered for each day camp for the camp to be held. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the camp may be canceled.
