PARAkids Summer Day Camp
For Students Entering Grades K-5
We've got plenty of recreational and educational activities planned this summer for students entering grades K-5th grade. Enjoy swimming, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, park green spaces, and trails. Activities will consist of hands-on including discovery, arts & culture, sports, and more! We also have exciting field trips planned that include the Georgia Aquarium, Montgomery Zoo, US Space & Rocket Center and the McWane Science Center.
Please note, campers will need to bring a lunch, two snacks, and three drinks (or a refillable water bottle) each day. See you there!
When?
- The PARAkids Summer Day Camp Program runs from May 28 - August 6, 2024.
- Full day camp hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Rock Quarry | Verner Extended Day Summer Program:
If your child is attending Tuscaloosa City Schools Summer Learning Program, transportation is available upon dismissal from Rock Quarry and Verner to join the Phelps Center day campers! To register, sign up for the extended day program, and select your location.
If your child attends Summer Learning at any other school, they can also enroll into extended day, but it will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian to see that their child is transported safely to the Activity Center.

How do I register?

- ☐ PAY REGISTRATION FEE
- ☐ Click on your preferred location below to enroll for the weeks you want your child to attend. (WEEKLY ENROLLMENT OPENS MAY 1, 2024)
Billing is available in weekly installments.
You may register for the entire summer now and you will be billed at the end of the week on Friday. Billing will run at 1 pm each Friday, the week before camp.

PARAyouth Summer Enrichment Program
For Students Entering Grades 6th-9th
We're excited to offer a new summer Youth Enrichment Program for students entering grades 6th-9th. Student participants will venture to the great outdoors, go on field trips, and learn values related to sustaining a healthy environment. Students will also volunteer with PARAkids' Summer Day Camp, participate in STEM activities, and more, all while building life-long friendships!
Please note, participants will need to bring a lunch, two snacks, and three drinks (or a refillable water bottle) each day. See you there!

- The PARAyouth Summer Enrichment Program runs from June 3 - August 2, 2024.
- Program hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am-5:30 pm
