PARAkids Summer Day Camp

For Students Entering Grades K-5

We've got plenty of recreational and educational activities planned this summer for students entering grades K-5th grade. Enjoy indoor and outdoor playgrounds, park green spaces, and trails. Activities will consist of hands-on including discovery, arts & culture, sports, and more! We also have exciting OPTIONAL field trips and OPTIONAL swim days planned!

Please note, PARAkids Day Camp is a recreational camp and does include many outdoor and physical activities. Campers will need to bring a lunch, two snacks, and three drinks (or a refillable water bottle) each day. See you there!

 

PARAkids Day Camp is not licensed for preschoolers and does not currently have resources to provide special education/needs services.

 

When?

  • The PARAkids Summer Day Camp Program runs from June 2, 2025 - August 6, 2025.
  • Full day camp hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

How do I register?

 

How do I enroll?

Billing is available in weekly installments. 

You may register for the entire summer now and you will be billed at the end of each week on Saturday.  Billing will run each Saturday, the week before camp.

CREDIT CARD ONLY. 

 

Each child MUST be enrolled prior to being dropped off at any PARA Day Camp location.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

Sibling discount for weekly enrollment:

$10 off for second child

Pay by Day Enrollment:IF space allows*

$35 per day/members

$45 per day/non-members

 

Late pick-up fees will be $10 for every 15 minutes a parent/guardian is late picking up after 5:30 p.m. Multiple late pick-ups may result in termination from the Program.

Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) invites young athletes to get in the game this summer with a variety of fun and skill-building sports camps! Whether your child is a beginner or looking to improve their game, our camps offer something for everyone—from soccer and basketball to golf, flag football, and more.

 

🏀 Jordan Kent Sports Camps (Ages 6–12)

Hosted at Belk and Faucett, these high-energy camps focus on fun, fundamentals, and fitness!

  • Baseball/Softball: June 9–12 | 9AM–12PM | Belk | $120

  • Basketball: June 23–26 | 9AM–12PM | Belk | $120

  • Pickleball: July 17–20 | 9AM–12PM | Faucett | $120

  • Multisport: July 21–24 | 9AM–1PM | Miller | $160

In partnership with Tuscaloosa United, these camps offer a great experience for players of all levels.

🎾 Youth Tennis Camps

Held at the Tuscaloosa Tennis Center, these camps provide instruction and fun match play.

🏈 Girls Flag Football (Grades K–8)

In partnership with USA Football, this program is perfect for girls who want to learn and play flag football in a supportive, fun environment.

  • FREE Intro Clinic: June 1 | 2–4PM | Central High School

  • Summer Camps:

    • June 29 | 1–5PM | Shelton State – Register by June 13

    • July 27 | 1–5PM | Location TBD – Register by July 11
